Busy Days
September 27, 2009
My weekends have become two of my busiest days. I find that those are the best days to do my math homework, which is large in quantity. With all of the talking that goes on in the house, it should come as no surprise that I prefer doing my homework at night when everyone’s asleep. Last night I finished one of the assignments at around 2 o’clock. Today’s Sunday, and I have to wake up early tomorrow, so I’ll obviously have to just do my homework in whatever conditions the environment in my house may be.
I watched a few episodes from the first season of The OC last night both before and after doing my homework. I remember being a junior in high school and Matthew forcing me to watch an episode of that show. I ended up getting hooked, and he ended up getting annoyed with just how over-the-top it had become towards its final season. Good times.
I turned in a few applications yesterday. It’s probably become repetitive by now, but I so desperately need a steady job. It would be nice to get hired at one of the many GameStops I’ve applied at, but at this point I’ll take almost anything. No grocery store jobs, though. That’s really not for me. I do have that guard card. Maybe a mall cop job would be alright. Times are tough, and I need something better than what Global Event Staffing has to offer.
I picked up a game at one of the GameStops I applied at yesterday. Prey the Stars for the DS. It was only 10 bucks, and it was new, so I thought I might as well. It’s a hard-to-find game, and I had been interested in playing it for a while. I’m glad I got it. It’s one of those games that is easily overlooked due to its simplistic nature, but it’s actually a lot of fun. The only thing that bothers me is that I had to dip into my PS3 account. I have about $230, so I’m almost there. I’m really looking forward to the day when I get that awesome brand new PlayStation 3 Slim.
No More TV… Please!
August 21, 2009
Today, I watched way more TV than I normally care for. Four episodes of Survivor. It was fun, but I would have sufficed with three. I’m just not the type of person who can watch TV for countless hours in a single day. That’s not me; it will never be me. I seriously do not know how some people do it.
So, it turns out I won’t be working Friday and Saturday at Barcelona. Instead, I’ll just be working at Avalon on Saturday for about three hours. It’s so funny: Just last night I could almost see the PS3 in my living room alongside my Wii. Now, that vision is slowly getting further and further away from me. If I worked at least four days in the next two weeks, I would have had enough for the console, but now I don’t even know how long it will take for me to gather all the cash necessary to obtain the very console I’ve wanted since 2006. Ugh… I feel so annoyed by that fact. Damn it all to hell!
I didn’t write any new articles today. I thought Daniel was going to come by with the graphics card, but he didn’t. So, once again, I have to put my Mini Ninjas article on hold. He might come over tomorrow, but I’m not holding my breath. Since I’m not working tomorrow, I’ve pretty much got a free day. I plan on writing an article for the new SmackDown Vs. Raw 2010 early in the day.
Since I didn’t do any writing, I did a whole lot of gaming. I played HCTP for a good while. Then I played some Super Smash Bros. Brawl online with Daniel and Danny. I got owned, and I can’t stand that. But these were triple threat matches in crappy stages. I know I’d own both of these guys one on one in any one of the non-gimmick stages. (I’ve done it before, and with authority.) I’m the “World Champion” for a reason.
